While Skylight initially focused on digital picture frames, the company has shifted its efforts towards empowering families with robust organizational tools, including shared calendars, lists, and meal planning functionalities.
At CES 2026, Skylight introduced its latest innovation, the Skylight Calendar 2. This device features a more streamlined aesthetic compared to the original 15-inch model and is sized between it and the larger 27-inch wall-mounted Calendar Max. Schedules are presented with color-coding for quick visual comprehension. The system can even integrate events from less conventional sources, such as key dates found in emails or physical flyers sent home in a child’s backpack. The latter is facilitated by an AI function that allows users to simply snap a photo of the paper document to update the calendar with new events.
Skylight also addresses other common family challenges, such as managing grocery lists, setting appointment reminders, streamlining meal planning, and discovering new recipes. Furthermore, when not actively in use, the device can still elegantly display family photographs.
The accompanying app is designed for optimal readability and ease of navigation, incorporating vibrant colors and imagery that make it accessible even for young children. For example, kids can mark off chores by recognizing pictures, even if they haven’t yet learned to read. Parents benefit from comprehensive meal planning features, ranging from simply noting
