Integrating AI into Daily Life: A Look at the Latest Smart Gadgets

Numerous AI-driven devices are now available, designed to seamlessly weave artificial intelligence into our everyday experiences.

These AI wearables, which encompass necklaces, rings, wristbands, and other portable gadgets, are designed either as productivity aids or as empathetic companions attuned to your daily reflections. Even OpenAI is reportedly developing its own small AI companion device.

Here is a compilation of some of the most prominent devices currently available.

The Bee Device

The Bee is an accessible pendant, costing $49.99, that can be attached to apparel or worn similarly to a fitness tracker. It captures ambient sounds, memorizes your habits and tastes, and generates reminders and notes accordingly. A privacy-focused mute button is also included.

Access to the accompanying mobile application, currently exclusive to iOS, requires a $19 monthly subscription. This app enables direct interaction with the Bee, allowing you to pose questions, receive daily summaries, and review sequential transcripts of your discussions.

Amazon purchased the wearable technology startup in July 2025, subsequently unveiling its initial new products earlier this month.

Amazon unveiled two new offerings: the Bee Frontier, costing $74.99, designed for wrist wear or clipping onto garments; and the Bee Eclipse, priced at $99.99, a compact, credit-card-sized device that magnetically adheres to the rear of a smartphone.

Both new devices share the fundamental features of their predecessor, positioning Bee as a cost-effective alternative to AI gadgets like the Plaud Note and Plaud NotePin. Users also have the option to link Bee with Alexa.

The Friend Companion

Friend stands out as a highly anticipated new product in the personal AI device sector.

This $129 white pendant, worn around the neck, serves as an emotional support AI. It discerns your vocal tone and emotional state, enabling conversations as if with a peer. Connecting to your phone via Bluetooth, it maintains a constant listening mode, prepared to reply or dispatch timely proactive messages, such as offering well wishes before a job interview.

Nevertheless, the device has encountered criticism, including a negative response to its subway advertising campaign in New York City, where advertisements were defaced with remarks such as “surveillance capitalism.”

In an apparent effort to maintain market presence, the company recently revealed a significant product enhancement, incorporating a new voice capability. Branded as “Friend 2.0,” this updated version integrates a speaker, enabling direct vocal interaction with users and fostering a more unique persona.

Limitless: The AI Pendant

Previously named Rewind, Limitless is a different conversational recording pendant, available for $99.

This gadget passively listens, converting meetings, calls, and discussions (with appropriate consent) into easily searchable and summarized information. It proves particularly beneficial for professionals, such as journalists, who need to revisit critical conversations.

The accompanying application provides 10 hours of AI functionalities monthly, including transcription and summarization, with an option to upgrade to unlimited features for $29 each month.

Meta’s Muse Charm

In September, Meta launched its inaugural AI wearable, presenting an innovative method for users to engage with its personal AI assistant, Muse.

Although not yet released, the device is anticipated to showcase Jolly, a lively digital avatar embodying the AI assistant. This pocket-friendly wearable, suitable for carrying or attaching to a keychain, boasts a small screen displaying the avatar. Users will be able to communicate with Muse via voice commands and delegate tasks.

Nirva: For Personal Growth

Established by ex-Meta Reality Labs personnel, Nirva is a new company developing an AI wearable explicitly designed for personal development, diverging from typical productivity or meeting transcription tools.

This device, worn as either a pendant or bracelet, analyzes the wearer’s speech and leverages AI to transform daily events into a private journal, aiding users in comprehending their feelings, communication methods, and routines. Its associated application allows users to identify behavioral patterns, gather insights into their conversational dynamics, and pinpoint areas for enhancement.

Nirva intends to commence accepting orders in November, with initial deliveries to early adopters scheduled before the year’s end. The device will be priced at $249.

Omi: The Productivity Assistant

This $89 device is capable of answering inquiries, summarizing discussions, generating task lists, and assisting with meeting arrangements. Furthermore, Omi continuously monitors conversations, processing them through ChatGPT to retain contextual information about you and provide tailored recommendations.

Omi offers necklace wearability, but a distinctive feature is its ability to be affixed to the side of the head using medical tape, where it can detect when you are addressing it.

Plaud’s NotePin: For Transcription

Priced at $159, Plaud’s NotePin ranks among the more expensive selections here; nonetheless, its integrated AI transcription and summarization capabilities render it an invaluable asset for legal professionals, reporters, and students in academic or business settings.

This miniature wearable voice recorder can be worn on the wrist or magnetically secured to clothing. Recordings are instantly stored on your smartphone, thereby streamlining the note-taking process. The device provides 300 complimentary transcription minutes each month, expandable to 1,200 minutes with the $8.33 monthly Pro plan.

The company is preparing to introduce a $179 ultra-slim note-taking device this year, known as the Plaud Note Pro, which is currently open for preorders.

The Rabbit R1 Gadget

The Rabbit R1 is another AI-powered device that rapidly garnered attention in the technology sector, notwithstanding some early difficulties upon its introduction. This compact, retro-inspired handheld gadget, priced at $199, includes a touchscreen and a swiveling camera.

Designed to complement your smartphone, this device enables tasks like flight reservations, meal ordering, and app control without requiring constant phone access. After a vital software update addressed prior performance concerns, the Rabbit R1 now offers enhanced AI capabilities, such as “Creations,” which empowers users to develop custom tools and even games.

Sandbar: The AI Ring

Last year, Sandbar debuted its Stream ring, an AI wearable created for capturing notes.

It incorporates an internal microphone, which is inactive by default and can be engaged via a flat, touch-responsive area on the ring’s upper surface. Holding down this panel allows users to record notes, communicate with an AI assistant via the paired smartphone application, and control media functions such as playback, pausing, track skipping, and volume modification.

The device integrates a microphone that is deactivated by default and can be activated using a touch-sensitive surface on the ring’s top. Users can long-press this panel to take notes, engage with an AI assistant via the linked mobile application, and manage audio playback.

The Stream ring is anticipated to be released this summer, priced at $299, and will be offered in silver and gold variations.
